Events
While your calendar events are pulled into your website, the information is created and updated through ufhealth.org’s platform. Events can be created one-at-a-time or imported from another platform such as Google Calendar or SharePoint.
Adding an Event
- Select “Events” from the submenu of UF Health Calendar in the left-hand navigation menu.
- Click on the “New Event” button.
- Add the event’s details using the calendar interface options. Note: Under “Calendar” click on the “Select Calendars” button to choose which of your calendars to add this event to.
- At the top of the event page, are some tabs for further information that can be included for the event such as: Content, Contact, Relationships, and Migration.
Event Details tab
These settings are for the basic details for your event such as the date, time, location, and persons connected to the event being held. This is where you would add speakers for a conference, for example, and agenda for an event, if needed.
Content tab
This tab presents style settings for your event to help make it look more visually interesting by adding a event image, and a place for an event description. The image dimension for the event image on an event page is 640×468 pixels.
Contact Info tab
Adding contact information for the event is done through this tab and it will display on the event page along with the other content added to the event. Click the “Save” button when you are ready to save the event and add it to your calendar.
Importing Events
- Click on the Events option under UF Health Calendar in the dashboard menu.
- On the screen that loads, click on the “Import Events” button on the lower right side of the screen.
- Select the calendar you want to import events into.
- Click on the import area to select the file on your computer with your events.
- Click the red “Import Calendars” button.
Editing an Event
To edit and event, click on the “Events” option under the UF Health Calendar section of the dashboard menu. This will show you a list of events, which you can filter by selecting a calendar from the list on the left side of the screen. Click on the event you would like to edit, make adjustments and save your changes. These changes should be seen on your website within a few minutes at most.

Adding a calendar to your site
You need to add a Calendar block to a page on your website, then choose the “UFHealth.org Calendar” option. It will ask for a “slug”, which you can find when logged in to ufhealth.org’s dashboard. Select Calendars and look for your calendar and the slug will be in the second column marked “Slug”.
