The Paragraph block gives you a place to add text for one paragraph to your page. You can format the paragraph text, as needed, with bold or italicized text, or add hyperlinks. Text can by added to this block by typing into it or copying and pasting text from another source, as well. Hitting the enter key will create a new Paragraph block, however.
Style options for this block are limited to a default option and a “Lead Paragraph” option. The default option is fits most circumstances and complies with accessibility guidelines. The Lead Paragraph option is accessible, but will change the text’s formatting to give it more visual prominence. We suggest only using this option for one or two introductory sentences in your content and not for headings or entire paragraphs as it may visually clutter your page and present problems for accessibility when used outside of its intended design.

Drop Cap Option
The Paragraph block supports the option for adding a drop cap to increase the size of the first letter in the block (see the image on the left). This option is found in the “Typography” settings for the block. We recommend only using this for one paragraph on the page as a stylistic embellishment and not for multiple Paragraph blocks. Using a drop cap excessively can cause your page content to look cluttered, disorderly, and hard to read for some website visitors.
