We have partnered with Namecoach to bring a new feature to the UF Health Directory. You can record the correct pronunciation of your name through your UF Health Directory profile. Once added, the new pronunciations will appear on UFHealth.org for providers, and on your WordPress websites if using the Directory Block. You can record your name through your browser, by a phone call, or upload an audio file recorded on your phone.
To record your name follow the steps below:
- Log in to the UF Health Directory
- On your profile page, click on the “Add Name Pronunciation” button below your name at the top of the profile.
- Choose the method of recording your name from the options given (listed below).
Audio Recording Options
Phone Call
NameCoach will call the number you request the call to be made to. Make sure your phone is nearby and ready to receive a phone call. We suggest using your personal cell phone for this option.
Web Recording
This requires a microphone connected to your device and allowed access through your browser. Use your normal speaking voice and stay close to your device.
Upload Audio
Record yourself using another device such as your cell phone (MP3, OGG, WAV, WEBM files only).
