Due to the federal law, it’s important to make sure your website content is done with accessibility in mind and old problems are remediated to remove issues which leave your website open to legal action from lingering violations of the ADA.

As part of your responsibilities in updating your website content, you are responsible for verifying that any files uploaded into your Media Library such as PDFs, Spreadsheets, Word documents, and PowerPoint slide decks are also in compliance with accessibility requirements. Noncompliance can result in expensive legal judgements against the university, college and/or department.
