Groups

Groups are used as the main collaboration tool for Bridge users. Within a group, users can hold discussions through a discussion board, upload files for projects, maintain a common events calendar, and set group-wide announcements. Groups can be created in a few different access levels.  Public, Limited, Private, and Hidden.

Group Access Levels:

  • Private Groups: Group content (comments, discussions, files, events) will only be visible to members of the group. Only users who request membership and are accepted can join the group. This group will be listed in the Groups directory and in search results.
  • Limited Groups: Group content (comments, discussions, files, events) is visible to all UF Health members, but can only be added/modified by members of the group. Membership is controlled by an administrator. This group will be listed in the Groups directory and in search results.
  • Public Groups: Group content (comments, discussions, files, events) is visible to all UF Health members, and can be added/modified by any member. Anyone is free to join the group. This group will be listed in the Groups directory and in search results.
  • Hidden Groups: Only users who are invited can join the group. This group will not be listed in the Groups directory or search results. Group content and activity will only be visible to members of the group.
